Throughout human history, stories have been used for specific purposes - to inspire, to teach, and to build community. Strategic Storytelling is a crucial tool in getting your message heard and intentionally using compelling stories that will inspire your listeners to take action. A story is the only way to activate certain parts in the brain so that a listener turns the story into their own idea and experience. Storytelling is a collaborative effort between the teller and listener; stories build trust and unlock passion because they connect the head to the heart. Strategic stories are a bridge between ideas or information and the feelings that inspire us to action.
Virtual training combines lecture and slides with interactive participation both individually and in small groups. Strategic Storytelling is designed for business, community and municipal leaders who want to connect with audiences in a powerful and compelling way. Through understanding the elements of a story and the power of metaphor, exploring specific goals and intention, and honing calls to action, participants will learn to use storytelling for strategic and effective communication.
