Angel Simone is originally from Liverpool, England and has her Master's in Engineering from Imperial College, University of London. Angel moved to New England over 20 years ago and has worked in both corporate and nonprofit environments for many years. As a recent graduate of Leadership Seacoast, Angel is passionate about community mobilization & engagement, particularly when it comes to the amplification of marginalized voices

Angel's personal mission is to empower others to discover their unique potential and become the best version of themselves.  She enjoys speaking publicly about the cost of vulnerability and authenticity, owning who we are and what it takes to overcome limiting beliefs and the opinions we have developed about ourselves due to societal and cultural influences. She is an advocate for the LGBTQ community, and recently spoke at TedX Portsmouth about her journey to self-acceptance and gender expression. Angel works as the Director of International Learning & Development at The Trevor Project, a non-profit organization whose mission is to end suicide amongst LGBTQ youth.

Angel recently joined the NHTP board, as it allows her to be part of an organization that is in line with her passion, since its programs have the ability to break down walls between diverse populations and to create a safe space for disparate voices.

In her down time, Angel enjoys strength training, playing and listening to all types of music, and summer! She lives in Portsmouth, NH and escapes to the beach as often as possible!
