Keith Sabella is a therapist and educator, having worked as a substance use counselor, school counselor, teacher at a therapeutic boarding school, college adjunct instructor and, his most challenging work of all, an at-home father of his two children.  Keith holds degrees in religious studies from Bethany College (B.A.) and the University of Chicago (M.A.) and in psychology from Duquesne University (M.A.). Keith became involved in theater during his high school and college years and loved the camaraderie and sense of community he experienced among the theater crowd.  It didn’t hurt that the theater folk were also very cool.

Keith’s first encounter with NHTP was as a panelist for the production of A Wider Circle as part of the Elephant in the Room Series®. That experience had a profound impact on him as it demonstrated the power of theater to create connections, in an age of disconnectedness, around difficult issues that would otherwise remain in the shadows.  He believes the theater can act as a cathartic event and can become a catalyst for the kinds of conversations that are all too often absent, and that can create essential human connection and transformation. Keith serves on the Elephant in the Room Series® Advisory Board.
