NHTP 2023-2024 Season Preview

Corrie Owens-Beauchesne, alumna of NHTP’s Youth Repertory Company, is a local resident of Portsmouth, NH, and accomplished actress, musician, and educator. She is a graduate of Hampshire College, earning her degree in Theatre Education, with an emphasis on applied theatre and anti-racist intervention in schools. Corrie holds a Massachusetts Teacher License for grades pre-K to 2nd as well as an Early Childhood & Care (EEC) Infant - Preschool Teacher Certification. She has taught theatre for young people in a variety of settings including public K-5 classrooms, through NHTP’s Artist in Residence programs, and for the 2022 Portsmouth Fairy House Tours. 

In addition to her work in Theatre Ed, Corrie has performed and Stage Managed numerous professional, pre-professional, and collegiate productions. Recent acting credits include Edna in An Inspector Calls, Midas’ Daughter/Narrator in Metamorphoses, Paulina in A Winter’s Tale, Daisy in Rhinoceros, and Aunt Abby in Arsenic & Old Lace. Also Elaine in Grail Knight, Ellie in Weeping for Life and Lighting Designer for Intimacy in Motion (a devised piece) at Hampshire College. 

Corrie has also Stage Managed for the 2021-2022 season at NHTP including Small Mouth Sounds by Bess Wohl and An Inspector Calls by J.B. Priestley. Corrie periodically plays piano professionally for South Church and other venues. 

In her new role as Executive Assistant, Corrie is excited to utilize her lifelong connection to NHTP and knowledge of their visionary programming to assist in all administrative duties from program development, education, and  residency collaborations.
