Janice is a native of New Hampshire and earned a BA in Linguistics from the University of New Hampshire.  Her career spans 30 years in New Hampshire and nationally with nonprofit arts, education, disability, and afterschool organizations. Janice first worked with New Hampshire Theatre Project in 1989 coordinating an artist residency program for ‘at-risk’ teens and since then has remained an advocate for the arts and the power it has to transform lives, enhance learning and social development, and strengthen community.  Janice is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Seacoast and the recipient of numerous awards including, as Executive Director of VSA arts of NH, the 2003 Governors Arts Award for Distinguished Arts Leadership for her work promoting an inclusive arts community.
