
Company Artist Colleen A. Madden is an actress and writer in New Hampshire, originally from New York. Colleen earned a BFA in Acting from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with honors. She also studied at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in NY. Roles at New Hampshire Theatre Project include Marianne in
Constellations, Margaret Fuller in
Charm, and Artie in
Eleemosynary. She was also part of
The Adventures of Oliver Z. Wanderkook with NHTP + Circulus Arts. Other seacoast roles include Goneril in
LEAR and Paulina in
Winter’s Tale, both with Seven Stages Shakespeare Company, Lady Capulet in
Romeo and Juliet at The Player’s Ring, Grace in
Tigers Be Still with Dramatic Repertory Co. in Portland, and
SHELTER at The Portsmouth Music Hall, created by Catherine Stewart and Sarah Duclos. Favorite roles in NYC include Stella in
A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Geoffrey Horne, and Molly in
Red Molly, directed by Tina Cesa Ward. Colleen also collaborated with Tina Cesa Ward on many film projects. Colleen was the Chairwoman and board member of her local public library for many years. She cares very much about libraries, literacy, the environment, and the arts. She is the proud mother of three amazing children, and volunteers regularly at their school. Colleen has had meaningful and inspiring experiences at New Hampshire Theatre Project and considers it her artistic home.
