Men on Boats

Celebrate Fall with NH Theatre Project - Guest Artists & MainStage Productions

October 20 Only at 7:30PM: Granny D: The Power of One

NH native Doris "Granny D" Haddock didn't settle into a rocking chair at age 88. She took a 3,200 mile walk from Pasadena, California to Washington DC – to get big money out of politics.  NHTP is pleased to present actor Dixie Tymitz in her one-woman, one-act show honoring Granny D’s legacy: Granny D: The Power of One.

Nov 11 at 2:00PM: A Few Seconds with Our Fathers & Mothers Songs & Stories of WWII - Curt Bessette and Jenn Curtz

Curt Bessette and Jenn Kurtz honor World War II veterans and their generation (while also paying tribute to veterans from ALL wars) through personal and historical stories, Curt's original songs, and popular tunes from the war years.  Curt and Jenn have presented A Few Seconds with Our Fathers & Mothers in libraries, museums, theaters, schools, churches, on the radio, and for veterans and seniors.

Nov 16 to Dec 2: Men on Boats by Jaclyn Backhaus

Under the command of an intrepid Civil War veteran with only one arm, ten men set out through uncharted territory in wooden rowboats on the adventure of their lifetimes.  History, legend, magic realism, and hilarious comedy illuminate the tale of John Wesley Powell’s famous 1869 expedition down the Colorado River into the Grand Canyon that only six men completed. Men on Boats by Jaclyn Backhaus is an exciting adventure directed by Genevieve Aichele!
