Suicide and Self-Harm

According to the American Psychological Association, the suicide rate in the United States rose by 33% between 1999 and 2016.  This tragedy crosses all boundaries – age, gender, economic status – and its effect on loved ones often compounds the difficulties.  Tim Barretto’s play Final Thoughts focuses on a successful writer’s decision to end his life and the effects of this shattering choice on his family.

Past collaborating partners for this program have included the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Seacoast Mental Health Center.
