The NHTP 2007/08 season centers on a theme of politics, freedom and personal responsibility. We begin in the contemporary Middle East of Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me and end up in war-torn Europe circa 1624 with Mother Courage and Her Children. Along the way, we celebrate New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary status with the hilariously satirical The Primary Primary! and the Junior Repertory Company explores the price of visionary politics in King Arthur & the Knights of the Round Table.
Come see a performance in our intimate, 50-seat black box theatre on 959 Islington Street in Portsmouth. Join us for lively audience discussions and meet-the-artist receptions. Celebrate with us at the December Red Stocking Jubilee and the Spring Fling Cabaret in March. Take a class or a workshop and explore the gifts of theatre: Affirmation, Healing, Responsibility, Teamwork, Creativity, Communication, Cooperation, Confidence, Tolerance and Passion.
As you know, ticket fees and tuition only cover about half of NHTP’s expenses. A recent survey by Urban Institute found that 96% of Americans value the arts in their daily life, but only one in four think the arts are worthy of their personal support. Help us change the statistics. Make NHTP an important part of your life!
