New Hampshire Theatre Project presents
Doubt: A Parable
By John Patrick Shanley
Directed by Dev Luthra
New Hampshire Theatre Project will open their 2008-09 20th Anniversary Season with Doubt: A Parable by John Patrick Shanley. Set in 1964 at a Catholic School, Shanley’s parable portrays the struggle between an older nun and a new priest she suspects of abuse. This mysteriously tense drama investigates deeply disturbing subject matter with artistry and taste, offering insights that are both emotional and thoughtful.
Doubt is directed by Dev Luthra from Boston’s And Still We Rise Productions. And for the first time acting together on stage, award winning NHTP artistic team Genevieve Aichele & Blair Hundertmark will star in this Pulitzer Prize, Obie, and Tony Award winning play.
Performances are Fridays & Saturdays at 8 PM, and Sundays at 2 PM. General admission is $22; student and senior admission is $15. Discussions will be held after each Friday performance, giving audience members an opportunity to discuss their responses to the play with director, actors and guest panelists. Doubt is recommended for ages 12 and up.

REVIEW Doubt: A Parable, produced by New Hampshire Theatre Project
"Fans of Blair Hundertmark’s accomplished work know nothing in his repertoire is ever simple... (Father Flynn) is particularly delicious."
Lydia Hannibal (Mrs. Muller) sparkles with brilliance and seductive, raw Mary of Nazareth vulnerability... (An) electrifying and edgy performance.
"Victoria Townsend (Sister James) tackles a very difficult role with unflinching honesty." |

REVIEW Staging Suspicions
"Sister Aloysius is played impeccably by Genevieve Aichele"
"With only four characters in this play, the casting couldn’t be better."
