Different development strategies used by nonprofit community organizations; understanding the reasons why donors give or don't give; developing relationships; cultivation, solicitation and stewardship; leveraging technology; and how to make a strategic fundraising pitch.
BASICS OF GRANTWRITING - Saturday, November 12, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Fundamentals of researching, writing and applying for grants; understanding how grants are awarded; the importance of matching grants to mission; and how grants fit into an organization’s strategic development plan.
FEE: $105 per workshop, or $170 for both workshops ($85 each)
These workshops are recommended for community volunteers, board members, students and anyone who is interested in the art of soliciting donations for an organization that serves a greater need. Instructor Genevieve Aichele teaches Fundraising, Grantwriting, Public Speaking and Nonprofit Fundamentals in the Community Leadership Program at the Thompson School of Applied Science/UNH.
