The Senior Repertory Company, created in 1999, offers teen actors the opportunity for seriously studying the craft of theatre. In 2016-17, the Senior Company will move to a tri-semester system. Company members can participate in one, two or all three semesters as their schedule allows. Along with acting, internship opportunities are available for students interested in directing, technical design, and teaching.
FALL SEMESTER (September 21 to December 11, 2016) - Technique Intensive focuses on specific acting techniques, voice, movement, monologues and scene studies directly related to the technical challenges of the spring production (farce & period styles). Along with regular classes, Company members are offered master classes with guest artists. This semester culminates with a Scene Study Performance on December 9-10, 2016. Directed by Crystal Gould & Emily Karel.
WINTER SEMESTER (January 16 to March 26, 2017) - Company presents a professionally produced, full-length performance of classic dramatic literature. Company rehearses two nights/week. Final performances of Is He Dead? , a farce by Mark Twain adapted by David Ives, will be March 17-19 and 24-26, 2017. Directed by Robin Fowler.
SPRING SEMESTER (May 1 to June 11, 2017) - Open to both Junior and Senior members, the company rehearses two nights/week. Final performance of a production geared for younger audiences on June 2-4 and 9-11, 2017. Directed by Meghann Beauchamp.
Audition dates for the 2016-17 Season will be held on September 12-13, 4-8 pm. To sign up for a 15-minute audition slot call 603-431-6644 x 4 or email email@example.com. For auditions, please memorize two contrasting 1-2 minute monologues, and bring a headshot and resume or list of theatre experiences and related skills. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian as auditions will include a short interview with student and parent or guardian. Note: At least one monologue must be classical.
